Registration is now open for U6 Fall Season

Practices run from September 8th till October 6th. Thursday nights 5-5:55pm at CNB Middle School fields.

All U6 teams, girls & boys born 2017/2016, will play at 5-5:55pm but they are not coed/mixed and they will not play each other. U6 is the beginning framework for more structured soccer. The focus at this age is fun with the ball through mini games that allow for maximum touches on the ball.

Competitive or formal games are not sanctioned by Canadian Soccer at this age.  We will facilitate groups mixing and playing mini games with other groups but will no longer schedule formal “games” within our U6 program.

THE FIELD:

The fields will be marked for practices, look for spray painted corner markers. A field map will be provided at the start of the season so all families can find their team practice area.

REMEMBER: FUN FIRST, TEAM WORK AND SOCCER SECOND

Players will not be given a Jersey this season as it is only 5 weeks.

  • Players must have shin pads (on & under socks) to play.
  • Cleats are preferred but runners are acceptable footwear at this age.
  • Earrings or any piercings are NOT allowed on the field. Taping of earrings is NOT allowed. This is a safety concern for both the player with the piercing (having them torn out) and for other players (getting cut). At this age there are lots of tumbles and crashes that could cause harm if earrings aren’t removed.
