PERMANENT PART-TIME ADMINISTRATOR / GENERAL MANAGER
The Westside Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) is seeking a permanent part-time Administrator / General Manager who is able to work independently and provide their own office space. This position is responsible for a variety of duties including regular communication and administrative tasks with the President and Vice-President of the Board of Directors; communicating through email and by phone with registrants, coaches, other Board members, as well as COYSA and the District of West Kelowna.
The soccer season runs from April through October, but administrative duties are required throughout the year. Your schedule would require flexibility as the work hours vary depending on the time of year and may involve evening commitments. Attendance at monthly Board meetings as well as various other meetings may be required throughout the year.
The ideal candidate needs to:
=Display a friendly demeanor and positive attitude;
=Be highly motivated and a self-starter;
=Have strong communication skills, both oral and written;
=Be proficient with computer programs Excel, Word and Outlook;
=Have knowledge of basic accounting;
=Have some familiarity with Sage Simply Accounting program;
In addition, familiarity with the WYSA organization and the RAMP program (used by many sports organizations) would be an asset. You will also require a criminal record search.
Responsibilities specific to the General Manager portion of the job include the following:
The GM attends all meetings of the Board of Directors and provides a regular report to the President and Board of Directors.
The GM reports to the Board of Directors through the President. The GM has the authority to act and make decisions for the successful implementation of the operations plan, in accordance with established Club practices and policies. The GM acts as a spokesperson and signing authority for the Club.
The General Manager shall:
Remuneration to be determined based upon qualifications and experience.
